Things I Wish Someone Told Me: C-Section Recovery

There are countless things I wish I knew about pregnancy and postpartum life. So I’ve decided to start a series where I talk about these things. I am basing these posts around my personal experiences and I am not a medical professional. This particular post is Things I wish someone told me: C-Section Recovery

This topic is the reason I started this series. I had always known C-sections were supposed to be extremely difficult to recover from, but I never knew what that entailed. I think I expected it to be hard for a few days and then magically back to “normal.” I’ve never had another surgery prior to the C-section, so I wasn’t entirely sure how my body would react. Things I Wish Someone Told Me: Second Trimester

There are countless things I wish I knew about pregnancy and postpartum life. So I’ve decided to start a series where I talk about these things. How to look halfway decent when you get sick (makeup for a cold)

Catching a cold is the worst. It’s exaggerated even more when taking care of an equally sick infant. First, Husband caught a cold, then transferred the cold to Little Love and if finally hit me a few days later. I always look downright awful when I fall ill and have no energy to keep up appearances. Sometimes, you need to look somewhat put together, and having no sleep the night before from congestion makes everything harder. So I decided to try my luck at a simple makeup look. Continue reading

Long Lasting Manis for the Lazy (Review of Sally Hansen)

Hello Lovelies! I have always been just a tad obsessed with doing my nails. My middle school didn’t allow us to wear nail polish or makeup, but of course I rebelled. I was shocked by the freedom my high school allowed for that, but as a cheerleader, we weren’t allowed to wear nail polish. So it wasn’t until college I could go crazy-crazy. Continue reading
